Hex's hand crept up to cradle Nyx's cheek. No one had ever said anything so
kind to him and another portion of his heart became Nyx's property. He
finally understood what it really meant to be a Keeper.
Nyx wasn't his possession. Nyx was his responsibility and to be certain he
was cared for, Hex's heart was enchanted.
"One day I'll hurt you in the worst ways," he promised softly, then kissed
him as the magic encircling Nyx's wrist began to glow.
