Nyx
Nyx had made up with Willy. That was fine. Hex had all but shoved Nyx at the sidhe. He saw him getting sad. He could smell his misery. All he wanted was for Nyx to be better. To be loved.
And he was pleased when he came over to note the scent in the air had changed a bit. He could smell them both and smiled.
The smile faded fast as he lifted the folder.
"The reason I've come," he said, showing Nyx as he walked in and then closed and locked the door.
"Keep that locked at all times, yeah?" he said firmly. "You've been busy, so I haven't bothered you, but you can know now. Sit?"
He nodded at the sofa, knowing this was going to upset Nyx.

He'd wanted a bite, but once he opened the fridge and found boxes of pizza, he had to try each kind. Guessing from the topping combinations he could only assume that Winter and his Phouka had had a pizza party. He decided he liked the meat ones that the Phouka had probably designed. He snacked liesurely, looking at his phone. Nyx was all over it and he smiled at the thought that the nymph had meant the photos for him alone. He liked that.
When he'd cleaned up and come back to bed, he stopped in the doorway and tilted his head, looking at the creature where he'd left Nyx.
"Oh my god," he huffed, excited beyond reason at the sight.

The fox yawned, stretching and then rolling onto his back, his tail flicked a little, and he stretched again before standing up and doing a few circles. He spun once, then twice, then the other way before settling back in with a little huff.
Cold he thought, trying to speak directly to Hex's mind. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, but it was always worth a shot. It was fun when people could hear him.
no subject
Hex couldn't hear him. He stood, enamoured by the antics.
The wolf within, though...
The wolf heard him clearly. Hex lunched forward and crawled onto the bed in his sweats. He curved his body for Nyx to fit perfectly.
Closer
Hex didn't speak. And that wasn't his voice.
no subject
The fox tilted its head at the unfamiliar voice, but wiggled closer and made itself comfortable against Hex.
Warm, the fox said, starting to purr. It sounded just like Nyx did when he purred, nothing like a fox at all. More like a cat curled up in its bed.
Blankets. Naps. ...Then meals.
no subject
Hex reached for the blankets to pull them up. He curled his arm around Nyx and held him close to his chest.
Sleep...safe
"You're a cuddler, ain'tcha?" Hex asked aloud.
no subject
Nyx nuzzled at him, then licked at his jaw and face.
Warm, cuddles, yes.
no subject
Hex chuckled and tightened his hold to try to control him.
Sleep, mate. Sleep to hunt.
"Calm down..." the man laughed softly.
no subject
Nyx whined a little, nipping at Hex's chin and then finally settling in again.
His tail flicked a bit, but eventually it flopped over his nose as he curled up again.

Once Nyx was settled, Hex found a comfortable place for his arm that didn't squish him.
He huffed a heavy sigh that came from deep within.
Little moon, little moon, so bright white...little moon, little moon, loves the night sang the wolf softly.
no subject
Nyx purred loudly, drifting off to the sound of the wolf's voice.
He woke a while later, carefully shifting back to his normal form but keeping himself tucked up close against Hex. He didn't want to leave the blankets of the warmth of the other man's embrace, and he started purring again as he pressed a kiss to Hex's chest.
"My Hex, mine," he said softly to himself.
no subject
Hex was only dozing and when Nyx moved, he tightened his arm. It was a few more moments before he realized Nyx was awake and he opened his eyes.
"You're you again," he smiled.
no subject
"I'm always me, even if I'm not," Nyx assured him with a little yawn, snuggling in again and nipping at Hex's shoulder. "I'm not capable of being anything else."
no subject
"Ready to hunt?" he asked brightly, his body tensing, ready to spring from bed.
Except he looked confused for a moment.
"Eat," he said after a moment. "I meant eat."
no subject
"I know what you meant," Nyx smiled, purring again. "The wolf was chatty, it could hear me as the fox. ...Food sounds good, but so does a little hibernation, hmm?"
no subject
"The...wolf...was chatty? Wot's that mean?" he asked, moving so he could look at Nyx better.
Stripping him of warm blankets in the process.
no subject
Nyx protested the loss of warmth, squirming until he was mostly covered again.
"In my Fox form I can speak directly to the minds of some. You couldn't hear me, but your wolf could. It spoke to me. Sang a little bit even. It was sweet. You're sweet," he added with a little smile.
no subject
"You talked to the wolf?" he asked, eyes wide in shock. "And it talked back? Bloody hell...like, in English?"
no subject
"Probably not English. Magic does wonders with translation," Nyx shrugged. "I forget sometimes that humans can't speak with animals if they want to."
no subject
"Oh my god, that's amazing," Hex exhaled. "I didn't even know it could think. I mean...you know. I thought it was just a beast, yeah?"
A smile flickered on his lips.
"Until I met you."
no subject
"Even a beast has a heart. Thoughts. Wants..."
Nyx trailed off as he yawned again.
"It's cold in here," he complained.
no subject
"Then get up and get dressed so we can eat," Hex replied, giving him a little shove.
"You promised me food. All I had was bloody weird pizza," he said.
"Your mate, by the way, that Winter? What a weirdo. I love him. Brilliant. Fuckin weird," he laughed, making a nuisance of himself until Nyx got up.
no subject
Nyx whined and tried to keep covered up, but eventually gave up, warming the room with a little magic and pulling on some clothes.
"He is odd, even for a pixie," he admitted. "He's a pure soul though."
no subject
"You know there was a marshmallow pizza in the fridge? Crust, red sauce, cheese. I thought it was a lump of pure mozz, yeah? Nah, mate. It was a marshmallow," he told him while he pulled on some clothes.
no subject
"I don't tend to eat what Winter brings home," Nyx admitted.
Not that the fae ate much at all most days, but when he did, it had to be exactly what he was wanting- And not whatever insane concoction Winter had dreamed up.
"What do you want for a meal then?" he asked.
no subject
"Bacon. Sausages. Eggs. Lots of eggs. Omlettes?" he suggested.
