Val

Hex followed Val through the halls of his home, up the dark polished stairs, and into the bedroom. Once there he took initiative and pulled Val to a stop, touching him gently. For all that he'd confessed his dominant tendencies he was careful and patient.

"What do you like, Val?" he asked softly as he touched him and studied him.

Val woke shortly after, sad to be alone, but not surprised. Most of his 'friends' didn't stay.

He was about to roll over and go back to sleep when he realized he could hear the shower. Perking up, he slipped out of bed and went to investigate. He could see Hex through the glass of the grand shower, both shower heads running and the steam turned on. Grinning, he slipped inside to join him.

"Leaving already?" he asked, putting on a bit of a pout.

"Oh, bleh to work. Forget work. Call out, spend the day with me," Val purred, picking up the soap and starting to wash Hex's back.

"I bet you never call out. I bet you never take a sick day... We could hole up in my bedroom, order something delish, and just enjoy one another," he whispered.

Val sulked, his bottom lip sticking out just a bit.

"But I'll be alone all day, waiting and bored..."

"Fine," Val sighed. "You're no fun though."

He huffed a little, returning the kiss in hopes of being tempting, then set about washing up.

Val stopped sulking, forcing a smile and a shrug instead.

"Look it's fine. It was just a bit of fun, right? I'm sure I'll see you again sometime," he said, though he didn't believe that, not really. People, as a rule, wanted one of two things. A commitment, or a one night shag. No one was willing to settle for anything between that.

Rinsing off the last of the soap, he turned off the taps and grabbed a towel.

"There's scones on the kitchen counter, help yourself. Don't worry about locking the door, I can do it from the bedroom," he said, waving Hex off and headed back into the bedroom to finish drying off and change the sheets.

"No you wont. Why are we even pretending like you will?" Val asked, not angry or upset, just blunt and to the point. "Look, Hex, just go, alright? It's fine. I had a good night, you had a good night- It was brilliant. Don't tell me you'll be back later though, and don't act like we're mates now, 'cause obviously we're not. It's stupid. It's a waste of breath. Just go to 'work', or whatever. It was nice meeting you, alright?"

Rolling his eyes, he gave up on changing the sheets and melodramatically flopped onto the bed.
