Fin
It had been a rather slow night in A&E and Hex had had plenty of time to chat with the other nurses. He'd been put off with the peds just because he was so good with the kiddies, but when warning bells went off in trauma Hex ran to where he was needed. The bloke was young and terribly thin and Hex got the distinct impression from the state of his hair and nails he was probably not well.
"I'm Hex," he said as two other nurses fussed over the young man, installing an IV and affixing EKG pads. "I just need to get a bit of history."
They went through the details and Hex took it all down, but what he was watching for with all this was to see how lucid Mr. Finlay Flynn was. The other nurses left before he got through the complete questionnaire.
"Almost done, Mr. Flynn," he said, then paused to look at the EKG printout. It wasn't good and the gravity of the situation settled heavy on his brow.

He looked exhausted, but he knew if he could get a train to Shorditch, he could stay with Meagen for a few days. Or maybe get some work at the hotel, enough to pay for a room for a few nights.

"You bloody bastard," he said, winded a bit. "What are you thinking, shoving the monitor in the post box and taking off like that? You about gave me a heart attack. Are you alright? Do you need me to get you back to A&E?"

"I'm fine, Hex. I'm not ill, I just needed to get going. I forgot, I've got a job prospect to check out today," he lied. "Couldn't afford to miss it, and I knew you'd get that nonsense back to the hospital, yeah?"

"Did I do something in me sleep? Touch you...or...react? Because I'd never, erm, you know. You said you're not gay and I respect that. I wouldn't push anything on you, mate."

"...Alright," he said, shuffling from foot to foot, then stepping away. "I'm sorry, Finlay. Whatever I did, I'm truly sorry."
Then he started to slink toward the stairs, shoulders hunched and head down.

This was better for both of them, wasn't it? Fin couldn't let himself be what Hex was, even if his body seemed to be curious- And Hex was clearly Keen... It was better to just stay away from the other man. Yeah, better for the both of them- At least that's what Fin told himself.
