"I try me best," Hex replied quietly. He used the soap to make it easier to massage Danny's muscles. He simply enjoyed himself, taking his time as he explored the other man's slick body.
"Don't be sorry, love," Hex said gently. The cloth moved slowly over
Danny's skin, removing all traced of their sin. "Whatever you need now,
it's fine. You were so good. Perfect. Now I can take care of you. Whatever
you need," he promised.
"It sounds perfect, Danny," Hex replied. He settled in next to him and
pulled the blankets up. Forever sounded just right. "You should get some
sleep, love."
"Even when you're high," he corrected. Hex kissed him tenderly one more
time. "I know it's not easy to stop, Danny. And I'm not upset. Do I prefer
you sober? Yes. But I'm being realistic. I love you. One hundred percent of
you."
Hex smiled and pulled Danny closer. It felt like his chest couldn't
possibly be big enough for his heart. It swelled in him, this knowledge
that he was loved.
"I'm glad because you're stuck with me forever," he said.
