Hex had been sneaking texts to Corbin in between patients. The man wasn't answering, probably working, so he sent one more message.

I'll be home after 8. Going to gym. Maybe I'll see you <3

He couldn't get enough of the other man. He wanted to see him all the time. He was always on Hex's mind.

He hit the gym and did his usual circuit, then showered. That was when he checked his phone to see if he'd be alone tonight.

Corbin woke slowly, rolling closer and holding Hex a bit tighter around the middle. He grumbled something that almost sounded like 'good morning', nuzzling at skin and then starting to drift off again.

He very much wasn't a morning person.

As soon as Corbin shifted, though, Hex was awake. And moments later he was slowly drawing away, desperately trying not to disturb him.

"I'll be right back. Just need to..." he mumbled, ducking into the loo.

When Hex slipped off, Corbin rolled to where he'd been, settling into the warm spot left behind.

It took a minute or two and then Hex came bounding back to bed, wide awake and full of energy. He slipped back into bed, his skin chilled from the air, and he squirmed in close to get warm.

"Good morning," he smiled. "Wake up, sleepy."

"You're cold," Corbin protested with a sleepy laugh. "Don't touch me with those chilly hands, you monster," he teased.

"But you're so warm," he laughed, pressing both hands against him to warm them faster. "I love that you kept me place for me..."

Corbin protested with a little whine, trying to wiggle away.

"Mean," he scolded lightly, playfully attempting to roll away. "What time is it? It feels too early."

"I don't know, and me phone is out there," he said. "Early enough we've got time to..."

He descended on him and kissed him lazily.

Corbin laughed brightly into the kiss, wrapping his arms around Hex.

"You're lovely, you know? Just lovely, Hex," he sighed.

"So are you," he smiled. But the smile faded. "You have to go to work, don't you?"

"I do," Corbin said apologetically, giving Hex another quick kiss. "I'm sorry. I can't just call out either, you know?"

"Neither can i," he said regretfully.

"Text me, though," he added before stealing another kiss.

"You'll be sick of hearing from me by the end of the day," Corbin grinned. "Come on, let's grab a shower."

"Brilliant," he nodded, crawling off and then bounding ahead to turn on the taps.

Corbin followed along, trying not to be too cheeky as they shared the hot spray.

"You know, if we head in together we can stop for coffee on the way," Corbin offered.

"That's a good idea," he smiled. "I want to be with you every second possible until I can't. That's selfish, yeah? I don't care."

He enjoyed the slick warmth of the other man, getting a bit frisky, but not really. They didn't have time.

"If it's selfish, I'm selfish too," Corbin assured him, turning to face the other man and kissing him soundly.

Hex groaned into the kiss, holding him possessiveness. His cock jerked with interest as he took everything Corbin offered.

"Let's do something fun tonight after work. Go to a club, maybe. ...You know the sort," he added with a playful wink.

"Mmm, yeah," he grinned. "Anything in particular you'd like me to wear? What do you like when you go out?"

"I don't know," Corbin admitted. He'd never been allowed to pick.

"Just whatever, yeah?"

"Just whatever?"

He stopped and pulled back to look at him.

"Corbin, love, I don't believe you're ready to say that to me, yeah?" Hex said gently. "Unless you suddenly trust me a lot..."

He didn't think that was the case.

Corbin was quiet for a long moment.

"What if I did though?" he asked. "What if I do?"

Or what if he didn't know any other way to do this?

Hex reached up and cradled his face, then nodded.

"Think it through," he said. "I want to know what you want. What you enjoy. Just hurting someone...it's not good if they aren't into it. Just...think it through and we'll go."

That was a lesson he'd learned and taken to heart.
