Corbin
Hex's new position had eaten his time. Every single chance he got, he spent time with Corbin. He texted when he could, but life in general was keeping them apart most evenings.
There was a new club opening and they'd invited a few VIPs, Corbin among those. Hex had made certain to free up the time and cleaned up for it. He wore a dark plum suit, black shirt and a brocade waistcoat. He had a couple of his buttons undone. He'd taken the tube to Corbin's and they'd take the car from there, they'd agreed.
Every time he got to see him any more, it was like he could actually breathe. He had plenty of mates, but there was just something about Corbin. Something magnetic. Hex had never felt so at home around anyone like this before.
He knocked, his stomach fluttering in anticipation.

"Champagne?" Hex offered. Seemed right for someone Ike Corbin to try the bubbly in a place like this.

"Yeah, sure," Corbin nodded as he sank into the booth reserved for them. "I always love a bit of fizz."

Hex settled in next to him and watched the crowd for a moment.
Then he looked to Corbin.
"You're the best dressed here," he smiled.

"Do you think? Corbin asked. The paps seemed less excited than usual. Do you think my star might be fading?
no subject
"I doubt it," he said. He figured he was probably too close for them to be as enthusiastic.
"Look at these people. They're trying to do what you do effortlessly."
no subject
"I guess," Corbin said. "...I'm thinking about leaving the show," he admitted after a beat.
no subject
"Really?" Hex asked, his brows rising high.
"...Why?"

I don't want my career to just become this show," Corbin said honestly. "And there's a theater in New York that reached out about a show... It would only be a four week run, but it could be fun."
no subject
"That makes sense," Hex nodded. "And theater would be a nice break from filming, yeah?"
His gut felt full of stone at the thought of not seeing him for months.
