He'd thought he was alright with this. Being mates. Being lovers. He'd thought he would be alright.
But he missed Nyx. Even when they were together, even when they were in bed, it felt like something was gone.
He knew what it was. Nyx didn't want him to be his Keeper. His heart had broken a bit, and it still ached.
Another miserable day at work, another miserable dinner.
Hex was laying in bed, wide awake, lost in worry, when Nyx came in. Before the Nymph could even put his things down, Hex sat up.
"I need to be your Keeper again," he said plainly.
"What do I need to do to get you to come back?" followed, much more tenderly.
