[just_hex]

Hex had been sneaking texts to Corbin in between patients. The man wasn't answering, probably working, so he sent one more message.

I'll be home after 8. Going to gym. Maybe I'll see you <3

He couldn't get enough of the other man. He wanted to see him all the time. He was always on Hex's mind.

He hit the gym and did his usual circuit, then showered. That was when he checked his phone to see if he'd be alone tonight.

"So do you," Corbin purred, shifting lower and kissing Hex's neck.

"And you want me," he said. "Tell me you want me."

He knew he shouldn't be demanding, not about that, but he wanted to hear it. He wanted to believe it. Just for tonight.

"Of course I want you," Corbin purred. "I wanted you the moment we met."

He could feel it bubbling up, stupid words tied to confusing emotions of lust and affection and want.

But he knew better than to speak. He was always so impulsive that he knew he should keep quiet.

"Fuck, I need you," he gasped.

"Need you too, lover," Corbin said, kissing him again and clawing at Hex's clothes.

He squirmed and tugged and regretted ever getting dressed as he tore it all off again. He settled Corbin lower and as soon as he was bare he sat up, pulling the man tight to him.

"Corbin..." choked off as he said it, his lips catching another hungry kiss.

It was easy to get lost in the passion of it, to coil himself around the other man and hold on tight. For just a moment he could pretend he wasn't some shithead deastened to fuck this up. That they could be happy. That they could start a new chapter together.

Hex kissed him senseless. Every place Corbin touched him lit up. He gasped, afraid he might drown in the other man.

"I need you," he admitted, hesitant and small. It wasn't something for the moment- Hex was sure he couldn't survive without him.

Corbin nodded, still kissing him where he could.

A moment later and he was reaching for a condom and pressing it into Hex's palm.

It was easy falling into bed with Hex, touching one another, skin on skin and pressed together. It was a blur of heat and want- And it was perfect. It was everything Corbin had been needing and more. Hex- Hex was everything he needed right now. Though... He'd told himself that before. Corbin found people and he clung to them.

Hex had to move so he could use both hands to get it on, then he was on Corbin again, kissing him deeply.

"Ride me," he asked softly. "I need to see you..."

Corbin moved with him, riding him, eager to give Hex everything he wanted. It was a blur of flesh and body heat. And it was all over far sooner than he liked. It could have been hours, days, but it still would have been too soon.

By the time they were done he was a sweat slick mess, curled up against Hex's side with the sheets kicked to the floor.

"Stay tonight?" he asked.

"I'll stay forever," he answered without thinking. All he was truly capable of was laying still, trying to breathe.

Corbin laughed softly at that.

"You say that, but you might not want to when you really get to know me, Hex."

Because they were still just scratching the surface, and Corbin knew that.

"I'm still learning about you too, you know? I like that. I like meeting you."

Hex pulled his arm over his head and looked at Corbin for a long moment.

"I like learning about you," he said softly. "I want to know everything about you."

"Same. Sometimes you'll tell me a little detail about you, and it's like uncovering treasure. I've never been good at taking things slow, but I want to with you," Corbin said softly.

[just_hex]

"We have all the time in the world."

Hex settled more comfortably and rested his arm over the other man. He studied his face and smiled.

"I'm not great at going slowly, either."

Corbin settled in so his head was against Hex's chest.

"I like the way you smell. Is that strange to say?"

[just_hex]

"I smell like work," he chuckled. "Or it's in me nose and will never go away. You smell nice. Your cologne. I like it."

"You smell like soap, and clean, and- Yeah, your work. It's strange though, I find I miss it when you leave," Corbin admitted.

[just_hex]

"Next time I'll wear a hoodie and leave it," he promised, kissing him softly. "A proper dirty one that smells good."

[prince_of_nymphs]

"You don't have to do that," Corbin smiled. "Besides, I like having an excuse to invite you over, and over, and over again."

[just_hex]

Hex smiled and kissed him lightly.

"I'd rather be here than anyplace else."

[prince_of_nymphs]

"Good," Corbin said, closing his eyes to finally rest.

"I love having you here."

[just_hex]

"I love-"

There was a hitch, a hesitation, one little hiccup as Hex recognized what he was going to say and made a last second correction.

"-Being here. With you."

Corbin held him tighter, snuggling in.

This was nice, the start of something new. He wasn't ready to put a label on it, was afraid of moving too fast, but- Something about being with Hex just felt right.

That's what he was thinking as he started to drift off.
